Sinus congestion is also called nasal congestion. It occurs due to blockage of one or more of the four pairs of sinus passageways in the skull. Mostly it is caused by the common cold. Sinus Congestion is harmful but if you take better care of it in a proper way, you can easily get relief from it. It happens from environmental irritants like - inhaled allergens, dust , tobacco, food allergens, mold, Air pollution etc.
- Taking related medicine and drinking plenty of fluids, more than usual
- Avoiding milk and dairy products.
- Taking rice stock, a rice stock can do wonders to relieve a sinus congestion headache
- Steam inhalation or using a neti pot.
- Using nasal sprays and decongestants after taking doctors advice.
- Take as much rest and sleep as you can take.
- Drink a lot of hot beverages
- Sitting upright and not lying down will relieve some nasal congestion.
